Operations · Alt champion for the non-finance modules. Influences; opens the operational-pain door.

Agents that can reach your real data, instead of another tool that dies at the API.

Written for COOs and Operations leaders who own inventory, fulfillment, and the supply chain. Data agents can actually reach, not another tool that dies at the API.

01
The pain

What it looks like today

Inventory counts disagree across Shopify, the 3PL and NetSuite, the team burns FTEs on reconciliation, and every AI tool bought so far could not reach the real data.

02
What changes

What you are actually buying

Agents working on clean operational data; throughput per FTE without adding headcount.

03
The objection

We already bought AI tools. They demo well and then die against our actual systems.

They die because closed SaaS blocks them from the schema. After migration you own the codebase and the data model — agents read and write the same canonical ontology, with sandboxes to fail safely before touching prod.

What usually stops this

The questions this role raises, in the order they raise them.

Will the migration break my business?

The old system stays live until the cutover weekend — a parallel run, not a big bang. The price is fixed, so an overrun is ours to absorb. Rollback is documented and tested per step before cutover, and if the bar is missed you stay on NetSuite.

If we want to try something new in six months, can we?

The codebase sits in your repository. A new workflow is a change your own team can ship, not a vendor statement of work and a procurement cycle.

Can my team learn this without breaking everything?

Workflows are mapped one to one. The parallel run lets the team practise on a real environment without consequences, because the old system is still the record until the day you cut over.

Does Odoo do the NetSuite feature we depend on?

Every capability you depend on is checked before the SOW, not discovered mid-cutover. Anything the base product does not cover is named up front with a decision attached — rebuild it, drop it, or stay. Scope exclusions are by capability, never by NetSuite tier.
